The Hall has been closed for almost all of this year for refurbishment - but al last - it is now open with lots of new facilities!
We had an open afternoon both to celebrate, and to show off the work. Thanks to everyone who attended, especially our local MP Mr Duncan Baker who somehow found time in his hectic life to come and see us. More details and photo's below!

Saturday 16th September 2023 - The village hall open afternoon.
We had a small celebration on a lovely sunny afternoon so people could come and see what has happened to their hall, have a cup of tea and a slice of cake and see if they approve! We were very lucky to have Mr Duncan Baker, our MP for North Norfolk who came, complete in running gear, hot foot from taking part in the Round Norfolk Relay, including four miles of running on shingle. He seemed in remarkable good shape...
Colin Hart gave a short speech with special thanks to both Richard Lee and Andrew Fields who gave so much help (and I mean real practical hands-on work!) with the refurbishment.
And of course we all have to thank Colin and Heather for the immense amount of effort they have put in getting the grants in the first place and then finding our excellent contractors and overseeing the whole process.
We should also thank both North Norfolk Council and The National Lottery for the grants that together with the money raised by the people of Gimingham made it all possible.
The hall is not quite finished (we have the decorating of the main hall from the dado rail upwards to go) but the vital things have been done. These include new toilets, both ladies/disabled and gents, a beautiful brand new floor, new heating system, blinds, refurbished store rooms and much more.
