Recent Events - Early 2018

After a cold start for our first two events - a Jumble Sale and a Spring Quiz - summer broke out for our May Fayre and stayed with us for our yard sale and our mid summer quiz. So far this year we have netted over £1500 for the maintenance of the hall - many thanks to everyone. Next up is our Summer Fete and BBQ on the 7th of July.

 Spring Quiz

It may have been the middle of March but it was a bitterly cold night, snow swirling, a wind chill of -10  so congratulations to everyone for coming out! We half wondered if people would come, but here in North Norfolk we are a  hardy lot! Hot Bangers and Mash in our lovely warm hall kept out the weather and a good time was had by all! And with the huge generosity of everyone more than  £270 was raised for our hall. Thank you all.

Heather worked miracles in the kitchen with recalcitrant slow cookers that lived up their name. Colin as ever was our tireless quizmaster, food provider (and pudding maker with Chris) and general non stop organiser. Thanks to Chris T, yet again, for providing the excellent quiz questions.

 May Fayre

At last a beautiful spring, or possibly summer day. Clear blue skies enjoyed by everyone. A very traditional looking Norfolk afternoon at the hall.

£514 was our net total, very good and even better than last year - so thank you everyone who came, everyone who helped and everyone who donated gifts and cakes.
Mid Summer Quiz and Buffet

A packed hall for a beautiful summer buffet, with home-cooked ham, home-made sausage rolls, salads, pastries, pizza with strawberries and cream and sponge puddings for afters. Thanks to everyone who was busy cooking that day.

A very happy atmosphere on a beautiful warm summer evening in a quiet Norfolk village.

A big thanks as usual to Colin for all his organizing and for being the always amiable host and quiz master. And a special thanks to Chris Taylor,  for all her work in preparing yet another highly entertaining quiz.
