Saturday January 27th 2024 - Burns Night Quiz

A really well attended quiz night so thank you to every one who came! A lovely atmosphere, really good food and big congratulations to the winning team, The Church Street Kids.

Sausages, Haggis, "Neeps and Tatties" were served with pudding for afters so well done all the cooks!

All proceeds went to the village hall with an excellent £320 raised to help with the ongoing redecoration. Thank you to everyone who gave raffle prizes, bought tickets and supported us with their presence.

A special thank you to Colin and Heather for organising it all, to Chris for creating the quiz, to Andrew, Dawn, Kylie and Tilley for all the help in the kitchen and setting up and a last big thanks to Roger for his now traditional bottle of scotch game!

Saturday March 16th - St Patrick's Day Quiz Night

A great Irish themed night with a wonderful "Ploughman's Buffet" with plenty of good food followed by tray baked Jam puddings with custard and cream!

A packed hall raised an amazing £373 for the hall funds so huge thanks to Colin and Chris and everyone who helped out with the food, to Chris T as ever for the quiz itself and Colin as the ever genial quizmaster.

​More quizzes to follow including a Midsummer Night Quiz in June and a Halloween Quiz in October!

Congratulations to Steve Whitby (one of the Beck Meadow Brains team) who has just completed a 2085 mile swim across the Atlantic - well actually in North Walsham Pool!

Steve was raising money for Hebron Housing, who provide housing for vulnerable women to live safe and supported lives.
